In Cycle IV of Tamkeen, the Women Subcommittee in Aleppo town of Al-Atarib saw the implementation of 2 projects. Among them an infrastructure project, aiming to rehabilitate and pave the main roads in the town, was implemented by the WSC at a budget of $67,370, the highest among the community’s project budgets for this cycle.

The project was designed by three female engineers from Al-Atarib, who surveyed the town’s roads and planned the rehabilitation process in coordination with the Local Council and other stakeholders in the community. The women will also supervised delivery of the project, including hiring a contractor and day-to-day implementation.

The Women Subcommittee and the Local Council in Al-Atarib are delighted to share with you images of the town’s roads, having been paved recently.
